Born and raised in N.Y.C. Reina was delivered into song.
Her beauty and glowing personality brightens up any room she enters. It’s hard to miss her! Reina’s proud diverse heritage lies within the heart of her uniqueness. Growing up in a world of music, it’s all she knew and grew to adore. Her Father was raised in the ghettos of Gary Indiana where he sang in competitions with the Jackson 5 and rose up and out by his drive and passion for music which continued throughout his life. Her mother, an accomplished songwriter grew up in NYC and worked with prominent musicians for many years. Her brother Gray completes this remarkable circle of talent as an outstanding singer, producer and musician. Reina’s parents met while following their dreams and through them a songbird was born.
Growing up in a household always alive with music and the sounds of Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Donny Hathaway, and Gladys Knight just to name a few…. Reina began to emulate these legends from her youth.
Performing in various circuits throughout New York City, at her young age she has become a seasoned pro….”stage is my home, there’s nothing like live music to sing to” This is obvious to all who hear and see her. New York City Clubs gave her the nickname “Songbird” .
Reina is proud to have worked with the likes of Angie Stone and Wyclef Jean and platinum producers such as Eddie F (Donnell Jones) Troy Taylor (Whitney Houston/Patti Labelle) and Tony Prendez (Stephanie Mills).
